I recently stayed at Lavelle's Seaside House as I was attending a wedding in Achill. The room was very neat and tidy and had a large bathroom. The lady who runs the B & B was very helpful and even gave me a lift to theAchill Island Hotel to collect my car in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

This is our 2nd year stay here to visit our son in the colaiste. It's lovly. And the lady of the house Beatrice is so pleasant.room was spotless..and breakfast was gorgeous and plentiful as usual!! Well well well worth the money

We stayed here for 2 nights at the weekend due to a family funeral. The room was very spacious and clean , Breakfast was beautiful and great selection. many thanks to all the staff who made us very welcome.

I had stayed at Lavelles several times , the last time was 37 years ago. This was a nostalgia trip. The room has a gorgeous sea view, a large en suite, fresh bottled water in room every day for us. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I went I. To stay at 5 star spa resort in Portlaoise that could have learnt a few things from this place. I had to send my food back in the 5 star and coffee was like ditchwater compared to the fantastic coffee that got me going each morning at Lavelles. Staff were fantastic and very helpful

We stayed in Lavelle's for two nights. Room was spacious and clean with tea making facilities. Our room had a perfect view of the sea. Tranquil location with beautiful scenery. Host and staff were very friendly and attentive.

Would highly recommend a stay with Susan in Lavelles, we were made feel so welcome by Susan when we booked Lavelles last minute after another hotel had let us down. The room was lovely & spacious with a beautiful beach view. Paddy in the bar was so good to us as well organizing a taxi for us to go to a restaurant for dinner & back again to Lavelles for drinks by the fire in the cosy pub as the rain fell outside. Thanks Susan & Paddy for showing us such genuine hospitality, we will definitely be back again.

How to find us

Take the N59 from Westport or R311 from Castlebar via Newport to Mulranny. Continue through Mulranny village and branch left on the R319 for Achill / Acaill.

Cross the bridge onto Achill Island at Achill Sound/ Gob an Choire and continue through Achill Sound/ Gob an Choire on the R319 for 3.8km and turn left at Dooega/ Dumha Éige junction onto the L1405.

Continue for a further 3.8km on the L1405 to reach Lavelle’s Seaside House & Mickey’s Bar.

Alternatively, you can take a train to Westport and a bus to Achill Sound. We can arrange collection at Achill Sound.
