Maggie is an amazing host! She picked me up at the bus stop at Dingle Harbour, after I’d been traveling for about 16 hours ( NYC- Shannon- limerick- Tralee-Dingle via bus and train) . She said , what you need is a light dinner, a glass of wine and a hot bath, and you’ll be grand in the morning.”. My room was perfect, clean, with a lovely view out to the green yard and Harbour beyond.
Emlaugh is about a 5 minute walk on a footpath into the center of town. I did exactly as she told me ( I had seafood chowder at Murphy’s pub) and was ready for a ten mile hike on the Dingle way the next day!
Her breakfasts are great- traditional Irish, ( I didn’t have- I’m not a fan of blood sausage in any form!) , poached eggs w salmon, fruit cup, yogurt, porridge, wonderful brown bread, great choices.
Maggie told he about a cheap local bus that I took to where I wanted to start hiking. I wouldn’t have known about it without her advice. Reasonably priced. A delightful stay!
